This is a happy day for some of our members at Oasis for the New Orleans Saints have won the Super Bowl.

For anyone who knows Collie and Valerie White and their family, you know that they are proud of their native Louisiana and it's culture. When they moved to Ithaca in 1987, they made it clear that the cajun made the move with them!

When Hurricane Katrina hit the area in 2005, Valerie raised a considerable amount of funds to help her displaced family members. Their hearts always remained home.

I have heckled the Whites over the years for being Saints fans. And I could talk, since my beloved New York Giants have been to 4 Super Bowls in my lifetime, winning 3.

Well, their football misery is over! I can't imagine a better feeling for Louisiana die-hards!
